Ecoturf Surfacing recently had the opportunity to complete a 5,000 square feet turn-key installation in Holden, Missouri. Ecoturf Surfacing removed the existing pea gravel, installed compacted rock sub-base, and then installed the poured in place surface.
The playground equipment resembled a train, so we had the crew create a train track design in the surface so that the train themed equipment looked like it was on a train track!
Holden, Missouri was a recipient of the Missouri DNR Waste Tire Playground Grant in 2018 and received funding to help make this project a reality. Missouri public school districts, private schools, park districts, nonprofit day care centers, other nonprofit entities and governmental organizations other than state agencies are eligible to receive similar funding for playground projects through the grant.
