An employee of Ecoturf Surfacing works on smoothing the rock that goes under the fall safety protection material that will be placed around playground equipment at Poolside Park. In addition to the larger playground area, there will also be fall safety protection placed around the smaller playground area, merry-go-round, teeter-totter and monkey bars. According to Ecoturf officials, all projects are dependent on weather. There is a slight chance of rain later this week, with the biggest chance of showers on Thursday. Once the surface is complete, it will take about 48 hours to fully cure. During that time, it is crucial that the site be protected from traffic and use. The area is to be fenced off once the project has begun, and residents are asked to stay away from the area. Parents are requested to make sure their children stay off the surface.
